The Highlands School is a School for Specific Purpose (SSP), is situated on Gundungurra Country, and pays respect to the Gundungurra people, the traditional custodians of the land on which the school is located.

The school focuses on Positive Education and is located in a semi-rural setting in Renwick, near Mittagong in the Southern Highlands. 

Our goal is to engage every student in their education, transitioning them to a mainstream school, external training facility, workforce or alternative setting.

We wish to acknowledge the Gunungurra people who are the traditional custodians of the land that school sits on. Where the yellow-tailed black cockatoo flies freely over the rolling hills of our country. We wish to acknowledge the Elders of the past and present because it is their wisdom that ensures the sacred stories and traditions of the Gundungurra people are passed onto emerging elders.
